We will help you to gain more site traffic in a way to brings you to the top of the search results.

1.      Start link building

Backlinks are links from another website to your own. backlinks can have a big influence on rising in the ranks, especially if those linking websites have a lot of traffic. An effective way to get your website’s URL on valuable websites is through articles of other websites. Offer your industry knowledge and opinion on other webblogs, in exchange for a link to your site. Google recognizes the organic and credible way that your link appeared on an external website and checks the quality and relevance of the backlink.

2.      Design a mobile website version first

Mobile first: Google gives priority to mobile versions of  a website. Make sure your website is mobile-friendly and fast. Another important factor for Google: offer an optimal user experience. In 2017, Google announced the switch to a ”mobile first index”, to adjust to the rising number of mobile searches. Businesses have to design SEO-friendly mobile sites with search results that are first optimised for mobile use in order to maximize a good Google ranking and minimize bounce percentages.

3. Develop microsites

If your business offers multiple services, that can be segmented, microsites can be developed to simplify your marketing messages and better target and reach a specific audience. A business that is mostly active in household, commercial and industrial markets can make a different site for each of these sectors. This enables the use of a tailor-made SEO strategy. For each microsite specialised keywords, adjusted URL’s and relevant content can be made. The more specialised your business, the better you can communicate and reach your target audience.

4. Blog once a week

it is no secret that the more content a website has, the easier it is to rank higher in the search results. Websites often do this via a special blogpage. Blogtexts have to be posted at least once a week as it shows google that the website is ”active” and it encourages Google to take a better look at your website.

5. Use long tail keywords

Many companies still use keywords that consist of one or two keywords. A tactic to beat bigger brands online is to use long tail keywords. Long tail keywords have a higher conversion rate as the consumers knows what they are searching for. It is not only good for your blog to start using long tail keywords, it is also useful for webshops. Because google generates its own suggestions of long tail keywords when typing in the search bar, consumers are nudged to use these keywords. A big advantage for long tail keywords!

Examples of long tail and short tail keywords

  • Short tail: chair
  • Long tail: heavy leather chair
  • Short tail: Italian restaurant
  • Long tail: Italian restaurant in London
  • Short tail: laptop
  • Long tail: quick small laptop
  • Short tail: sport shoes
  • Long tail: White Nike sport shoes

6. Ensure quick access to important information

Customers quickly lose their interest, therefore it is important that valuable information(products, prices and contact information) are clear and easily accessible.

7. Get a quick-loading website

A page that takes more than two second to load, results in customers leaving and potentially going to your competitors. it also results in a high bounce rate, which will hurt the site in the Google rankings.

8. Vary with keywords

Using just one keywords can be a tempting way to rank higher in the search results. However, Google does not allow this and punishes websites that do so. it is recommended to use variations of a keywords to make sure the keyword content is stays relevant.

9. 1500 – 2000 words per page

It is important that Google has enough website content to find and analyse the relevance. Make your content the most extensive and best content on that topic. A smart way to develop new content is to recycle old content with new paragraphs and media. Everything that can update the old page is useful.
